Marie Helene Howard and Lewie Charles Thompson, both of Enterprise, Alabama were united in marriage on Saturday July 8, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Enterprise. The 2 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Mike Beck of Enterprise, Alabama.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Howard of Enterprise and the granddaughter of Mrs. Pat Howard and the late Mr. Burkett Howard of Enterprise, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Bass of New Brockton, Alabama.

The groom is the son of Mr. Mike Thompson and Ms. Nina Nail Thompson of Enterprise, and the grandson of Mrs. Elaine Thompson and the late Mr. Lewie Thompson of New Brockton, and Mr. and Mrs. Merril Nail of Enterprise.

A program of music was presented by violinist Ashley Withrow of Daleville, Alabama and cellist Rachel Cole of Dothan, Alabama.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a breathtaking illusion neckline tulle ball gown. The bodice was accented with Venice lace appliqués which continued onto the illusion back and cap sleeves. Covered satin buttons completed the back of the gown. The waistline of the gown was accented with a beaded satin belt, adding an element of sparkle to complete the timeless, romantic look.

Mrs. Hannah Howard of Enterprise, Alabama and Mrs. Audrey Howard of Mobile, Alabama, sisters-in-law of the bride, served as Matrons of Honor. McKinley Howard of Enterprise, Alabama, niece of the bride, served as a Junior Bridesmaid.

The groom’s father, Mr. Mike Thompson, served as Best Man. Groomsmen included the groom’s brother, Mr. Michael Thompson of Enterprise, Alabama and Mr. Caleb Howard, brother of the bride, of Mobile, Alabama. The bride’s nephew, Davis Howard of Enterprise, Alabama served as Ring Bearer.

Following the ceremony the families welcomed guests at a reception at the Enterprise Country Club. During the reception, music was provided by DJ Josh Howard, brother of the bride. On Friday night, the groom’s parents entertained the wedding party with a rehearsal dinner at Mimi K’s in Enterprise, Alabama.

Following a honeymoon trip, the couple has made their home in Jacksonville, Alabama where the bride is a preschool teacher at First United Methodist Church and the groom is obtaining his MBA at Jacksonville State University while working with the football team as their Video Coordinator.Read more at:year 12 formal dresses
