Rohit Sharma-Ritika Sajdeh wedding

Rohit Sharma married long-time girlfriend Ritika Sajdeh in a star-studded event in Mumbai on Sunday. The stylish middle-order batsman had a nightmarish series against South Africa, aggregating a mere 26 runs from two Tests.

Several experts feel his future in the Indian Test team could now be in jeopardy. However, all the pressures of international cricket were forgotten over the weekend as former and current teammates turned up in full force to wish the newly-married couple in a glittering ceremony.

Earlier, discarded all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, fiancee Hazel Keech, Harbhajan Singh and wife Geeta Basra were seen posing with Bollywood star couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai at a party hosted by the Ambanis. The party was in honour of Bhajji, who married Geeta recently and Rohit, who tied the knot with Ritika on Sunday. Both play for the Ambanis' Mumbai Indians. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar made an appearance with wife Anjali.

India's limited-overs captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has had a torrid time in the Vijay Hazare trophy, was also present with wife Sakshi and their infant baby at the Ambanis' party.

Rohit's Mumbai Indians boss Nita Ambani turned up with husband Mukesh for the glittering wedding ceremony.

Former cricketers were critical of the rash shot Rohit played in the first innings of the Delhi Test. He has however had a good run in ODIs this year, amassing 815 runs from 17 matches. His hundred against Bangladesh in the World Cup quarter-final paved the way for an Indian victory after a dismal show by the top-order.

Rohit is the only batsman to have struck two double hundreds in ODIs and he holds the record for the highest individual score in the format.
